BSDP Aims and Objectives



1. To provide a platform for the physicians working in the field of diabetic care of Bangladesh.

2. To uphold and maintain the dignity, honor and honesty of the profession and practice.

3. To provide up-to-date knowledge, education and training of Diabetes practitioners

4. To guide young doctors on research activities to ensure evidence-based practice

5. To arrange training for suitable candidates to improve their knowledge and skill in home and if possible, abroad.

6. To publish peer reviewed journal where the doctors, especially those who will be the member of the society, can share their research work with the scientific community.

7. To train the Diabetes practitioners the presentation and public speaking skill so that they can take part in mass awareness programs as well as in different scientific forums.

8. To organize conferences, workshops and scientific meetings on diabetes and its complications management by local and international expert faculties and scientist.

9. To organize social welfare programs like mass education campaign, free health camp etc.

10. To work in collaboration with other scientific body with similar interest both in national and international scope.

11. To support the underprivileged patient population by providing them subsidized treatment.

12. To dispense free of cost treatment aids including essential medicines as well as devices to those who cannot afford it

13. To actively engage in primary prevention of diabetes to minimize the national burden of the disease

14. To provide telemedicine care to the marginalized, eccentric population who cannot reach healthcare facilities.

15. To device newer strategies that will help to improve customization of diabetic health care in our social normative.

16. To set up diabetes care outlets for providing comprehensive, rational and standard service in minimum/ subsidized cost.

17. To develop different treatment and preventive guidelines to ensure homogenous, state of the art diabetic care given by diabetes practitioner.
